Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

Wildlife Against A Historical Backdrop

Ranthambore National Park is a vast wildlife reserve near the town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, northern India. It is a former royal hunting ground and home to tigers, leopards and marsh crocodiles.

Its landmarks include the imposing 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, on a hilltop, and the Ganesh Mandir temple. Also in the park, Padam Talao Lake is known for its abundance of water lilies. We will enjoy wildlife safaris as we explore this unique  conservation space.

Women's Cooperatives

Visit and talk with local women who have organized and formed cooperatives. They preserve local crafts and earn a fair wage for the work they do. They also learn how to save and invest a portion of their earnings, so they are economically empowered to control their own futures.

Our Hotel

Spread over 16 lush green acres, our residence at Ranthambore was built in 1930 as a hunting lodge for the Royal Family of Jaipur. The crescent-shaped Art Deco mansion, with its vibrant colors, geometric lines, checkered floors, verandas and distinctive jalidaar patterns, is a treat for period architecture fans. From the Jaipur coat of arms, and royal portraits in the rooms to taxidermy trophies of wild animals on the walls, every detail evokes a majestic past, with the added luxury of modern amenities. All rooms have air-conditioning and western-style bathrooms.

The verdant grounds – home to a 100-year old banyan tree - hold a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, an organic garden and a state-of-the-art conference and banquet venue.
